A selection of woodcuts and linoleum cuts, many from the family's own holdings, are exhibited. A number were done in editions commissioned by Roten Galleries of Baltimore, maryland. Ferdinand Roten traveled to art museums and universities with original art works during the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s. John Wilson a representative for Roten, started his own print business in the late 1960s as Lakeside Studios located in Lakeside, Michigan and also represented our work as well as  London Graphica in Detroit, Michigan in the 1970s.

WOODCUTS AND LINOLEUM CUTS
We cut into the flat part of pine wood to take away what is not to be printed. The remaining raised surface is rolled up with printing ink. Paper is applied to the inked block which is then rubbed with a wooden spoon to make the print. The same process applies to linoleum cuts.
